A Note from Julie
For 36 of my 40 years, I have been a proud resident of Kentucky. Yet it took until preparing for this issue for me to give one of the state's greatest exports - Bourbon - a try. For two days, we did research at four distilleries (I know, my job is tough) and several other bourbon-related businesses to find out what has made this spirit such a celebrity. You can follow along on our journey, starting on page 36, and plan your own Bourbon Trail Tour to give your wedding guests a true taste of the Bluegrass.
I have to admit, the "Color Me Fab" story on page 78 was so much fun to put together for you. We looked through dozens of color samples and married them together to create four fashionable color palettes, with everything from dresses to accessories. Find one that suits your style!
This issue also includes a round-up of ideas for wedding day favors starting on page 32. Guests will remember your wedding day with memories, photos, and shared stories, but the favor can be used to instantly transport them back to the moment you said "I do." A favor can be a true representation of your special day.
As we work on each issue, reviewing the Real Kentucky Weddings that are submitted, reading your comments and scouring the products we receive, we are constantly reminded that Kentucky brides are true individuals who want to convey their vision with just the right touches. So let the pages of Kentucky Bride help you find your own voice for your special day.
